HEALTH ISSUES THAT CAN BE PREVENTED BY EXERCISE

On this post, I’ll be sharing with you guys health issues or problems that can be prevented by exercise.

There are health issues that you can easily avoid through exercise and save yourself the stress of finding a cure and thereby pouring a lot of money in it. Prevention, they say is better than cure.

Read on to find out these health issues and even some that can be cured by exercise.

1) HEART DISEASES

The heart, just like any other muscle needs exercising. When it is exercised, it gets stronger and it works more efficiently. That way, a lot of heart diseases are prevented such as coronary heart diseases. When one exercises, the heart is able to pump more blood and all blood vessels are kept in good condition. Cardiovascular exercises like jogging and rowing greatly help to prevent cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure and stroke

2) BACK PAIN

Quite a number of people, especially adults have pains in their back, especially the lower back caused by injury, strained muscles, repeatedly lifting heavy stuff and many more. It has been found out that exercising can effectively reduce back pain. Exercise will make the muscles, ligaments and tendons very much flexible and also prevents tear which in turn leads to injury and eventually back pain. Exercises such as back stretch, bridges, cat pose can help strengthen the back. If the back pain becomes very serious, it’s advisable to visit the hospital.

3) OBESITY

Obesity is a very dangerous disease that has caused the death of many people. Statistics has shown that about 2.8 million people die every year as a result of obesity.

Obesity can also be called overweight. The good thing is obesity can be effectively prevented by exercise. Nearly every form of exercise, running, jogging, push-ups, skipping, walking, rowing, swimming, weightlifting, even yoga and many others help greatly to prevent obesity as they help to burn fat and get rid of high cholesterol.

Yeah, true, running or biking might be a little stressful, but trust me, it’s better to go through the stress to prevent than to go through the stress in curing it which is far greater. Also, in preventing obesity, watch your diet.

Note: Exercising doesn’t cure heart diseases. It can only prevent it. Also, exercise doesn’t cure diabetes (there’s no cure for that now). Exercise can only reduce the risk of type II diabetes (found in adults) as diabetes is worsened by overweight. So, when overweight is taken care of by exercise, the risk of type II diabetes is reduced.

Exercise also help prevent and reduce joint pains as it helps the joint to move very much freely.

Generally, exercise is very crucial for a healthy living. CDC recommends 150 minutes of exercise every week. Those that exercise more increase their life span compared to those that don’t.
