Are you the busy type? You don’t have time for workout? Do you have to rush to work early and you get back exhausted with little or no space for workout? Well, tight schedule shouldn’t be an excuse for you to skip your workout. Why? This is because exercise is a major factor that boosts your overall productivity, mood and state of mind. This is good for every other activity that is taking your time.

But how can you still fit in workout in this your so busy schedule? Here are some tips for you:
• Bear in mind that exercise increases productivity and keeps you healthier.
This mindset will help you sustain the consciousness and mindset that skipping workout is not an option, regardless what happens. Make your routine non-negotiable.
• Have a well-defined and convenient workout plan.
Don’t just start to think of what to do 5 minutes before your workout begins. Have a well-defined and well-structured routine which is also convenient for you. Ensure it is one that won’t take much of your time. HIIT of 20-25 minutes should do, 60-90mins of strength exercises should do (especially for bodybuilders). And just in case you are the home workout type or you don’t have time to visit the gym, here’s a 5-day home workout plan for you that will take you just about 30-40 mins daily.
Perfect 5-day home workout plan
• Bear in mind that you don’t need to workout everyday of the week.
As a matter of fact, working out everyday without strategic planning is really bad. Your muscles need to rest. As a very busy person that you are, what you need is about 3-4 days of intensive workout. If possible, you can target two muscle groups in one day. Remember, you’re very busy with limited time, make it efficient and make it count.
• EARLY MORNING WORKOUT is a pretty amazing idea.
Seriously consider doing your workout early in the morning before any other activity, probably immediately after your morning prayers. This will give a feeling of accomplishment and confidence that you have successfully cleared workout from your to-do list for the day. There’s therefore no way anything can stop you from doing your workout. But note that, if you’re doing strength exercises like heavy weight lifting, serious push-ups and all, it is advisable to take something light, probably a protein shake or a smoothie to gain some strength.

Make plans for your day, make a to-do list, have goals to achieve for the day and allot time to each goal. This will help you to know what to do next and how much time you have for that thing. Don’t blindly go into your day, living on assumptions. So, it is a good idea to schedule your time properly to avoided wastage. Also, set a time for your workout, when to start and when to finish and stick to it.

• Stay motivated and accountable to someone
You can do this by:
– getting a workout buddy
– using competition as motivation
– tracking your progress
– watching videos or movies of your favourite fittest people (this really helps me a lot)
These will really help you a lot to make your workout a matter of importance.
